KS3 Maths Tuition
Maths tuition at KS3 level aims to ensure your child has a solid understanding of key maths skills. Identifying gaps in their knowledge at this stage improves their confidence and allows them to make the most of classroom teaching so they are ready for the challenges of GCSE maths.
GCSE Maths Tuition
To gain a grade 4 or 5 in Foundation Maths, students need to work steadily through the exam paper and have the confidence to answer multi-step problem-solving questions. In Higher Maths, a single question can combine several topics and can be phrased in a way that is unfamiliar to the students. Confidence in the essential skills together with weekly practice of exam questions can allow your child to reach the higher grades.

A level Biology Tuition
Achieving a high grade in A level Biology requires students to show an in-depth understanding of Biology that allows them to recall the precise detail of processes, apply their knowledge to unfamiliar contexts and to critically evaluate experiments.
We start tutorials focusing on the topic you find most challenging. I use clear diagrams and guided discussion to breakdown complex information, mixed with short questions to check your understanding. We then complete exam questions together to apply your knowledge, breaking down the information given and developing strategies for answering the more challenging ''explain' and 'evaluate' questions.
Maths and statistical skills are essential for A level Biology so we will work through questions together and then I will provide you with questions for extra practice.
The AQA A level Biology exam has an extra challenge - the Essay. Most students get less than 14 out of 25 marks for the final question on paper 3. I will help you develop the correct strategy and with good planning you can reach the higher marks bands and boost your final grade.

About Me
I have been tutoring full time for over 3 years, both online and in-person, and typically support around 15 students a week. I have a BSc in Zoology (Imperial College) and a PhD in Behavioural Ecology (Bristol) and use my expertise to provide the focused support and encouragement students need. My students consistently show great improvement in confidence and understanding which results in better grades!
